A few cute snack ideas....

My daughter and I attended a bridal show a few weeks ago at Glenora Wineries on Seneca Lake, in the Finger Lakes region of NY.

There were lots of vendors, lot of ideas and some great samples of cakes and snacks to try.

I love the ideas of shots of tomato soup and mini grilled cheese sandwiches...

...and prosciutto on anything is so good...

...a sampling of  shrimp on skewers and some Guac and chips were displayed cleverly...

...and for the midnight snack, a chocolate chip cookie and milk...

...this was Cate's favorite, a S'mores station with home made marshmallows...

...and all the fixings, with a station to roast your marshmallows!

She hasn't chosen a venue yet, but got lots of ideas at this show!

I need help in identifying these dishes....

I am anxious for spring to arrive, which often takes place in mid May in Central NY!

My table is set around my new topiary!

My challenge for years has been trying to identify the artist who painted these dishes, mugs and vase:

They are hand painted, each dish is a bit different...

...and they coordinate well with MacKenzie-Childs majolica dishes and the vintage enamelware cups...

...each floral pattern differs slightly and is very identifiable in appearance...

...I often use the vase to hold a wine bottle...

...and the dishes coordinate well with my hand painted crystal candlesticks...

...I have set the buffet for tea and dessert...

...I love this cute "tea" spoon I found years ago at Sur la Table, it is used to squeeze the tea bag...

...and I am offering an assortment of teas in a hand painted bowl I bought in Victoria, BC ...

...Tea is served in a vintage Lefton Miss Dainty tea set, which was my mother's...

...I just adore these mugs...

...this setting brings a little bit of spring into my home, even though there is snow outside...

...a bit of flowers, soft pastels, and a perfect setting for some homemade soup and sandwiches...

...and I love using battery operated candles - so safe and no wax drips!!

Here are a few more of the pieces....SO, can anyone help me in identifying the artist?

Looking forward to some ideas on how I can find out more about these pieces!

Happy Valentines Day

Every year I "paint" hearts on the snow....

...and this year we have plenty of snow!

We just exchange little treats for Valentines Day around here....

...and we are going back to the new casino for lunch and try our luck at the "penny slots"...

...and then come home for a little wine!

Enjoy the day!

Love is in the air....

I am getting better at baking bundt cakes...

...and this one was delicious...

The Valentine holiday brings on a chocolate craving...

...white chocolate is my favorite, but milk chocolate will do...

...even when it has a little bit of peppermint flavor...

...But, I do love cookies more than chocolate!

There are many "signs" of Valentines Day around here...

...and lots of love...

...and even some sweet cocktails...

...have you had a Cosmo?

Cosmopolitan
1 1/2 oz vodka
1/4 oz lime juice
1/4 oz triple sec
1/4 oz cranberry juice
Shake with a cup of ice and pour into a martini glass.
Rim the glass with lime and add to glass for garnish.

And if you don't like Cosmos, this might do:

Happy Valentines Day!
